​​​​Importantly, on Friday, 25 October schools from across Australia will take part in the Daniel Morcombe Foundation's 'Day for Daniel'. We honour the memory of Daniel Morcombe as we educate children and adults about keeping kids safe through child safety and protection initiatives.

We're making attendance easier​

For student protection reasons, and to ensure all our children are safe, Christ the King School will be making changes to its sign-in procedure when students arrive late. We ask families to familiarise themselves with the 'Arrive Late, Leave Early' procedure that will take effect from Term 4.

Brisbane Catholic Education has released a new Media and Student Materials consent policy and form, which will come into effect in Term 4. Parents and guardians of students at Christ the King School will receive a Parent Slip to update media consent at the end of Term 3, Week 8​.​​

Arriving on time for school is a big contributor to your children being engaged in their learning. It is important all children arrive at school in time to commence the school day at 8:30am.​​

Time for a well-earned break

Holidays are here; Semester 1 comes to a close. School finishes on Friday, 21 June for a two-week break. Students will return to school on Monday, 8 July. We hope families enjoy their time away from the school routine.

Cold and flu season is upon us​

Now we're in winter and temperatures have dropped, we are beginning to see in the community and among children the usual run of cold symptoms, such as runny noses and coughs. As parents would be aware, it is extremely important that any student with cold or flu-type symptoms stay away from school until symptoms have passed.

Honouring sacrifice and resilience

ANZAC Day serves as a poignant reminder of the courage, sacrifice and resilience of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served during World War I, and all those who have served since. It holds a special place in our national consciousness, providing an opportunity for reflection, remembrance and gratitude.

On Thursday, 7 March, Christ the King School held an Open Day promoting our school to new and interested families. Our visitors were able to enjoy a school tour of our grounds and classrooms and hear our Senior Choir give a beautiful performance. Visiting families have commented on how welcome our teachers and staff made them feel during their time at CTK School
